The FCDY College Preparation Program (“CPP”) has been designed to assist the needs of our aspiring collegiate level soccer players, & to provide specifically developed guidance, information & resources that will enable each FCDY player to maximize their opportunity to play college or professional soccer,and to receive the maximum opportunity to qualify for scholarships and financial aid. Enlisting the help of a full time administrative support staff and a full time collegiate advisor for FCDY players, being a member of FCDY will aid our players during the college recruitment and selection process. The goal of the CPP program is to provide players & parents of U14-U19 soccer players,both girls and boys, with sensible advice and insight that will better help each player when exploring collegiate opportunities and when attempting to reach out to college coaches. The rules and requirements regarding player contact,eligibility, and recruitment are challenging and severe. Utilizing our knowledgeable and experienced staff, our players have increased and expanded opportunities with decreased possibilities of error. Beginning in the Freshman year of high school or at age U14 (whichever is sooner), FCDY players will be required to participate in the CPP program to learn more about general college preparation; college admissions and counseling; college athletics and NCAA eligibility; recruiting guidelines; professional eligibility; college contact rules and requirements; following up; college research; financial aid; and scholarships.
