FC DALLAS ACADEMY GAME SUMMARIES - OCT. 2
Both the FCD U-16 and U-18 Academy teams left Austin on Saturday with three points after impressive performances.
U-18 GAME SUMMARY - FCD 3, LONESTAR 1
During the first half FCD was able to maintain possession and break down the Lonestar defense. As a result, David Robledo and Jonathan Top connected for the first point of the match in the 31st minute.
In the second half, FCD continued to demonstrate their ability to maintain control and possession of the ball. Defender Nicholas Rochowski capitalized on a corner kick from Jose Perez to net another goal for FC Dallas in the 58th minute. Perez contributed to the third goal of the match, this time scoring the goal in the 78th minute. Lonestar notched a goal and wiped the clean sheet from FCD goalkeeper Eduardo Cortes in the final minute of stoppage time.
U-16 GAME SUMMARY - FCD 1, LONESTAR 0
The FCD U-16s performed well on Saturday after coming off a difficult loss last week to the Texas Rush. Victor Portillo netted a goal in the 65th minute and put FCD up 1-0. Portillo's goal held up and the U-16s came away with three points and a confidence boosting win.
